San Carlos Centennial Mural Project
Watch creativity unfold! Our 6,000-square-foot street mural is taking shape on the 700 block of Laurel Street.
As part of the 100th Anniversary Celebration, Art Bias received a Centennial Grant from the City of San Carlos. To honor this momentous historical celebration, artists are making a pavement mural to honor our city's rich history! A colorful, graphic path running the length of the street will function as a visual timeline from 1925 to 2025. This community-driven pavement art mural will serve as a vibrant, educational, and celebratory focal point for the San Carlos Centennial.
By integrating historical elements, technological progress, and local flora and fauna imagery, the design will create an engaging and meaningful experience for pedestrians while enhancing the city’s public space. The street art will transform the former car traffic area into a welcome gathering spot for pedestrians and enhance the celebratory atmosphere of the centennial event. The visually dynamic and Instagram-worthy environment is designed to boost social media exposure, ultimately supporting small businesses along Laurel Street by enhancing visibility and customer engagement.

Turning Pavement into a Canvas: The Mural Team
“As artists, we believe that public art is a powerful tool for storytelling, education, and community connection. This mural is more than just a visual landmark—it is a bridge between the past, present, and future of San Carlos. By transforming the pedestrian-only Laurel Street into a vibrant and interactive timeline, we aim to celebrate the city’s rich history while inviting the community to envision its future.”
